Data

Jamil’s books draw on decades of data from the behavioral sciences. In recent years, some findings in psychology and other fields proved to be less robust than scientists initially believed. This has led psychologists to embrace greater transparency, ensuring that the foundation upon which their claims are built is clearly illuminated for all to see.

In this spirit, Jamil has teamed up with colleagues to write appendices for each of his books called “evaluating the evidence.” These sections provide readers with more information about the research underlying claims made in Jamil’s books.

Below, you can find these appendices, as well as links to full datasets providing more information on the studies these books cite and related research.

Science is not a set of facts, it’s a living thing. Data and knowledge constantly grow and change. These appendices are meant to give readers a chance to connect with the dynamic scientific fields about which Jamil writes.
